North Myrtle Beach was the first segment of the Grand Strand renourishment project and was completed on January 31, 2026. All beach accesses in North Myrtle Beach have reopened.

- North Myrtle Beach (Reach 1) was the starting point of the $72 million federally funded renourishment project.

- All public beach accesses in North Myrtle Beach are open. No further renourishment closures are expected here in 2026.
- The newly widened beach restores sand lost to Hurricane Ian (2022) and Hurricane Debby (2024).
